Our dedicated DP students recently held a bake sale, combining delicious treats with fun games to raise funds for a noble cause: supporting Bargain Basement Sale (BBS), a nonprofit organization that channels its proceeds to a range of impactful charities. The event was filled with energy, bringing students, teachers, and community members together to enjoy homemade baked goods, friendly games, and a shared purpose.
Students prepared a variety of homemade treats for sale, creating an inviting atmosphere that encouraged generosity. Alongside the bake sale, students organized engaging game booths featuring Pin the Tail on the Horse, Arm Wrestling, and Ping Pong Toss. The games added a lively element to the event, creating a memorable experience and inspiring support for their charitable goals.
All proceeds from the bake sale are directed to the Bargain Basement Sale (BBS), which will use the funds to support their upcoming thrift market event on November 2. BBS is known for its annual thrift market, where it sells donated and branded clothing at discounted prices to raise substantial funds for various charities. This year, the charities benefiting from the BBS event include:
Pink Ribbon Pakistan – Supporting breast cancer awareness and prevention
RF Foundation – Funding local philanthropic initiatives
Mama Baby Fund Shahabuddin Convalescent Home – Providing support for maternal and infant health
Public Showers Pilot Project – Aiming to establish public shower facilities for those in need
The bake sale’s profits will assist BBS in setting up for their thrift market, ensuring the event is a success and furthering their mission to make a meaningful impact through community donations.
