The DP Curriculum

The DP curriculum believes in diversity, therefore, offers a wide variety of subjects. The curriculum contains three required core components along with six subject groups.

The three core elements are:

  • Theory of Knowledge, in which students learn how we come up with knowledge.

  • Extended Essay,  which is a student performed research on a topic and subject of their own interest. Students write a 4000 word paper.

  • Creativity, Activity and Service, which require students to get out of their comfort zone and take part in different extra-curricular activities. It requires students to challenge themselves and show personal development.

As IB learners, we hope the students to possess attributes of the IB learner profile. For more information about the DP curriculum, visit the IBO official website. For information about the subjects offered at LGSi, feel free to contact us.
