Diploma Programme
The International Baccalaureate® (IB) Diploma Programme (DP) is for students aged 16-19. The programme aims to develop students who have excellent breadth and depth of knowledge – students who flourish physically, intellectually, emotionally and ethically.
The DP Curriculum
The DP curriculum believes in diversity, therefore, offers a wide variety of subjects. The curriculum contains three required core components along with six subject groups.
The three core elements are:

Theory of Knowledge, in which students learn how we come up with knowledge.

Extended Essay, which is a student performed research on a topic and subject of their own interest. Students write a 4000 word paper.

Creativity, Activity and Service, which require students to get out of their comfort zone and take part in different extra-curricular activities. It requires students to challenge themselves and show personal development.

What the DP offers students
Through the DP, we are able to develop students who:

study at least two languages

excel in traditional academic subjects

explore the nature of knowledge through the programme’s unique theory of knowledge course.
Subjects Offered at LGSi

Each student takes at least three (but not more than four) subjects at higher level, and the remaining at standard level.
